Inklings?

Ok, so...
Today in history class I learned about how C.S. Lewis (author of the Chronicles of Narnia) and J.R.R. Tolkien (author of the Hobbit <3) had a writing club (yes, those two authors were friends!) at Oxford where authors could talk about their unfinished work and swap tips.  It was called the Inklings.  I was wondering if anyone would like to do something like that?

Not a huge deal, just you could post your stories/beginnings of a book/tips/writing stuff on International Bff's (for those of you who don't know what that is, I'll talk about it in a minute) and the rest of us (the Inklings 2) would comment.  If you wanted me to, I could proof-read and edit it, then re-post it.

This would be for everyone!  However, you obviously need to be a member of International Bff's to use it.  So what is International Bffs?  It's my second blog, which I share with anyone who wants to join.  Everybody is supposed to post about weekly making a constant feed of interesting blogposts for readers to enjoy.  However, no one has actually really joined.  I have four writers?  I think?  Maybe?  Anyway, if you want to join (no pressure...haha joking PLEASE JOIN) email me at skoshimom@gmail.com with your request.  You should get an email back soon after that from Blogger.com.  You MUST accept this invite to become an author.  After that, it's all yours!

Ok, peeps, I'm out of here.  Bye!

Going...going...

So I'm leaving Granbury
Tomorrow.  I know I never mentioned it, but I was visiting my dear family down in Texas, as well as Mia my best friend from SHAPE Academy.  I'm going down to Austin tomorrow with my grandfather (OGee), then flying with him back to New Jersey, where he will spend Thanksgiving with us.
Oh I will kiss the ground when I have a normal schedule. (not really)
That's all I wanted to say.  Thanks for reading and be sure to read our "How to Subscribe" section at the bottom of the page.  :-)

Overloaded Posting

HI!!!!!!!
You probably have guessed this, but I'm actually finally thirteen now!  That means that yes, my blog will be two years old soon, and almost at 300 posts, which I did NOT make by August 15th, like I though I would, but that's ok.  Anyway, I know that's a lot of information to process in like what, three sentences, but I'm packing all I can in one post.

Monday, September 8

Hiya!!!

I know I haven't been that good of a poster recently.
That's mainly because I started school and all, yaknow.  This will be my third week.  I'm taking algebra (forget pre algebra) and physical science, which would put me well on my way to be a good marine biologist, like I thought I wanted to be.  However, a serious identity cirisis puts me wondering if an author would be more self-fufilly and truly lead me to happiness.  I know what your thinking.  Why bother?  You're only in 7th grade...heck, you're not even 13 yet and won't be for another 40 days!  (By the way, :-(. ). Well, I'm trying to decide because believe it or not, it is really never to early to start making good habits and become self conscious about your own decisions.

This is where I quote Dr. Seuss (a very good author): is your tongue now numb?

Labor Day and more

Today is Labor Day,
And I honestly don't know why we take off a day used to celebrate those who work.  That makes no sense whatsoever.  HOWEVER, what does make sense to me is the fact that, according to my careful counting, in 55 days (plus an hour) I will be thirteen!  :-)  I'm SUPERexcited because I can FINALLY get my own Pinterest Account and I think I'm will finally be legally a gmail owner.

Anyway, ever since I was ten I made a little mental list of everything you can look forward to with each birthday:

  • At age 10, it's your first double digit age!
  • At age 11, you're officially a tween.
  • At age 12, you're old enough to babysit and get a red cross license!!!
  • At age 13, you can get a Pinterest account.
  • At age 14, you're officially a teen.
  • At age 15, you're in high school.
  • At age 16, you can get a drivers license,
  • And at age 18 (I always skip 17) you're a legal adult!
Anyway, 55 days and counting!

Post from the Airport

Let's just put it this way.  You do not want to spend over eight hours on your bum in the Orlando airport just to wait two more hours for a stinkin flight where all you're going to do is sit on your bum for another two hours!!!  Again, you DO NOT WANT TO DO WHAT I'M DOING RIGHT NOW!!!

My day so far:
  • Rode bus from cruise ship (sniff) to airport for almost an hour
  • Waited for four and a half hours
  • Ate lunch
  • Tried to check in and get through the stupid security check point but failed (we were like 25 minutes outside the "four hours or less before hand" check in thingy)
  • Waited a measly half an hour
  • Finally checked in, got through the security checkpoint, and rode tram to gate
  • Sat around and wrote in my diary for almost three hours
  • Went and sat somewhere else and now I'm here
What else is a girl to do?

Total Update

I am really sorry.
There have been a whole bunch of issues getting on the internet and actually using it so I haven't been able to post.  Just checking my email was hard enough.
Mom's computer had some glitch and so it didn't connect to the internet.  We didn't have internet in Texas for about a five weeks or so.  On top of all that, I sort kinda probably a little bit oopys daisy...broke my iPad!!!  I dropped it in Lowe's and now the screen is black.  I am the one who's going to pay to get it fixed and I'm going to have to wipe out ALL my savings and then some to pay.  Some body's going to be penny pinching for another two years again.
Anyway, for those of you who don't have a Facebook account let me catch you up with what's been going on.  After all, I have moved already.

  1. The movers came.  They were actually a really good batch of movers, although they sorta kinda FORGOT a whole cabinet of dishes and all our silverware.
  2. We drove cross country.  Fun.  Actually, it was more fun than I expected.  I got to go in a ride in a little airplane, eat dinner with old friends, hang out 360 ft in the air while in St. Louis (the arch is SO cool and a really fun trip) plus play Minion Rush um...a lot.  It was NOT very fun for Mom because
    1. She hates driving
    2. She doesn't like benign solely in charge
    3. They (United Communities, the people in charge of housing) called us and said that we had been assigned house #30.  #30 turned out to a one-story HANDICAPPED house.  Of course she (Mom) totally panicked because we had planned for the two-story REGULAR house.  It turned out that they (UC) didn't even know that it was a handicapped house and gave them another house, which made Mom annoyed because there are only three handicapped houses of that kind on base and how hard can it be to keep track of them all?
    4. She didn't get a lot of sleep one night because there was a foul-languaged argument RIGHT outside our door (I was asleep which I am glad for now because apparently it was REALLY foul-languaged) and then at like 2 a.m. there was a sort of party, and so she called the motel owners and they sorted it out and CALLED HER BACK to tell her that it was sorted out.  Seriously.  I mean, c'mon!
  3. We got a house!  This is exciting.  We've never gotten a house this fast before.  Plus, it's the house we actually expected (yay) and it's in a really good location.  It has a fenced backyard (our only request) and it's in a REALLY good location.  You see it's a twenty minutes walk, ten minute bike ride to my bff Elena's house (I went to a sleep over with her last night) and to two minute walk to my long-lost girl scout friends (yes, I was a girl scout!  That goes to show how long-lost these friends are) who are awesome.  Plus five minute easy walk to the church (Saturday night mass here I come...!)
That it.  Anyway, enjoy what's left of your school year and your weekend!  Hope you are having the  same luck I am because is turning out to be the best move ever!!!

Cancelation

Ok, write for your life is officially canceled.
It was way too much work and I jus don't have the time right now.  And just in case you're wondering, I'm about to do one of those long posts that, if I was an adult, would be filled with bad words and blame everyone but myself for the things going wrong in mmy life right now.  However, I have this stupid headache that's been bothering me for a while now so I'm just going to say that right now, my life totally does NOT rock and I am not in the mood.  Good bye.

200

Guess what?
This is my 200th post.  And you know what's amazing?  I was estimating on April 6th that today would be post number 200.  I am impressed with myself.  :-).  Anyway, I think that I can probably hit 300 by August 15th.  What do you think?  (take into account that I'm moving and I had International Blogging Day, which currently counts for 12% of my posts EVER)

What should I do to celebrate my 200th post?  Nothing.  It's just  a post after all.  On the other hand...200 posts since Nov. 2012 is something to be proud of.  I think.  Even Sea of Shoes doesn't have 60 days daily-post streak I had at one point.  And Sea of Shoes does everything almost perfectly.

Anyway, I have to leave.  Btw, did you know I've posted 107 posts since January 1st?  I think that's pretty darn cool.  You know what else would be cool?  If I could have 365 posts (in one year)  by next January 1st.  That'll take some effort.  It's a bet!

Live Love Laugh

I don't know why,
But that seemed like the appropriate title for this post.  I'm very happy right now - I just got a pedicure (it looks amazing) went to Chilies (it tasted amazing) and it's amazing weather (it's so amazing).  Anyway, wanted to tell you guys that the supposed "grand re-opening" on April 1st has been postponed indefinitely.  In other words, it's not happening.  With school, chores, friends, more school, church, sunday school, piano, dance class, and any other stuff I may have forgotten to mention, I've been barely keeping up with my blog, and I don't have time to make five posts in two days, especially with the nice Texas weather recently.  There's nothing like an 85˙ March day to warm you up.  (If only it was January).

I have to go now, I hope you enjoyed this post!

IBD finale

Usually,
The word finale means SUPERimpressive, but I'm going to keep this short and sweet.  I don't have much time and I'm really tired, plus I'm sure you are too.

I imagine somewhere, there is a reader going, "how can a twelve-year-old blogger post so much on a SCHOOL day?  Did she skip school?  Bring an iPad?"  The sweet, inspiring truth is I didn't even touch my computer today.  I went to school, and then to my friend Mia's, and then to dance class, but I never got on my blog.  I hope you enjoyed today as much as I did and will continue to read my blog, post comments, have reactions, and (of course) feed my cute fish.  I won't post tomorrow, because I'm pretty sure you're still trying to figure out what you missed.  Talk to you on the 21st!

IBD 104

HIYA!!
Welcome to post #4 of 24 to celebrate International Blogging Day!  There will be a post every hour - bet you can't comment on every single one!  :-)

HAPPY!!! Sunny day, finished with school, the world is round....  :-)  Talk to you in a while, Noelle.

Random

No ideas about
What to post about so....

  • The brontosaurus (a well known dinosaur) was actually a fake put together by a guy who obviously fell asleep during his archeology exam.
  • I estimated that we have about 735 books in our home (note the word estaminet)
  • One of my favorite bugs is the fire bug (it is the actual name btw) which is known to squirt burning liquid (or was it boiling...?) at it's enemies.
  • Sharks can sense electric currents with their nose.  Not everyone can say that.
  • I have been designing clothes for five years now and I still haven't made any of them.
  • I once came close to failing my two favorite classes while excelling in my least favorite.
  • Clown fish will lure what would have been their predator into their sea anemone, then the anemone feasts and the clown fish gets left overs.
  • blah
  • blah
  • blah
Toodles!

Stolen

Every day, I'm
Kidnapped!  Yep!  But don't call the police!  Don't dial 911!  I'm fine!  After all, I always come back.  Here's what happens (In chronological order):

  1. I excitedly open my web browser.
  2. I click on my special link to my blog webpage.
  3. I impatiently wait as the little spinny-do-hikky in the corner spins...and spins...and spins!
  4. I click this little orange button called "new post".
  5. I'm swept away on rainbow breeze of pure bliss.
And then I wake up half an hour later!  Any ideas people?  I know what happens though.  My alter-ego kidnaps me and takes control of my blog!   And then writes these wonderful creative posts that can inspire the dullest of people.  My fingers tingle to press the white click-ity-clack-ty keys on my keyboard and let the words in my mind just floooooooooooowwwww.....

OK, I'm out of here.  Toodles!

Empty

Usually, I open a posting
Window, and ideas start flooding my mind.  I don't plan my posts before hand, I just...post when I have time.  And the words just flow from my head to my fingers to my keyboard to my post to my blog.  But when I opened this window, my head was empty.  The last of my ideas have leaked out and what in the world can I write?  The ideas are gone.  Empty.

Waiting

The world goes on in a half-
Sped up version of time as I wait.  I am always waiting, always preparing myself.  The future lies ahead, unpaved, unread.  What may happen tomorrow, the day after next?  Maybe anything maybe nothing.  Words choke in my throat, or maybe it's pills.  The world goes on.

Waiting for nothing.

Thank you!

I'm proud to say that
I now have a 20 post streak!  That means I have been posting for 20 days with no gaps!  Cool, huh?

I want to thank all my readers that have stuck with me all this time and also the ones that have poked their heads in and gotten addicted to my pure awesomeness.  :-)  And it's not over!  I have another 609 (give or take a week) until it's doomed.  I will then have to have a serious brainstorming session.  I'll think...and think...and think!  About what?  Well I'll have to change my name of course.  I know I'm so silly.  I'll be here all day people.

Thanks again!

Bleh

There's something special in the air...
And I for one wish it would just go away.  Allergies have plagued me for days now, I even had a fever for two miserable nights and a day.  Why why why did God make allergies?  I wonder if Adam and Eve had allergies, because I don't see any reason why those who were made perfect should.  Sniffle.

Bye for now, I'm feeling extremely bleh and decided not to write.

Oasis.

The weather has been
Sunny, warm and cloudless, so I've been spending my weekend in tee-shirts and shorts.  I am ready for summer!  Even though it's only February, it's Texas.  I'm confident in it's hot reputation for warming up extremely quickly.  As for you peoples over on the East Coast, my pities.  Not really!  Just glad I'm not in your place!
The sun streaming into our secluded oasis of a living room makes me want to run free of chores, school, or the annoying stitches I get in my side when I try to run farther than a football field.  Or tromp through the woods, minus misquotes, deep "quick mud" that I used to run into (I once had to clean a friend's socks off in a river because of a patch of that stuff) or thorns.  Or go on an endless zip line.  I swear that light has hypnotic abilities, not to mention being semi-concrete.
