AF Bratlife/LemonZ Crafts Official Shut Down

The title says it all.  I haven't posted in 9 months, nor do I have any intention of doing so.  LemonZ Crafts, better known as its original name AF Bratlife, is now officially shut down.  For newer posts from me you can check out my new blog - International Bffs - and for more artwork from yours truly you can take a look at this - Steve the Wimpy Dragon.

Have a great day!

P.S.

This was the 300th post!  Yay and goodbye.

Art Survey

Skimming Pinterest
Should be an official talent.  Like...who can find the ten best photos in ten minutes.  Speed-pinning.  It should be a thing.  Anyway...

So this is how this is going to work.  I have five categories for you (will show you in a minute) and you comment on the category that you love the most.  I.E. whatever category of art work you like the most, I will do that kind.  I also have the photos below that I will use as inspiration so you're not just blindly choosing.  Survey ends April 30th (the end of the moment).  Anyway the categories I'm using are:

  1. Disney Fandom
  2. Anime/Manga
  3. Dragons/other Fiction
  4. Nature
  5. Other Regular Art Junk
And those are your choices.  I have a particular five Pinterest-found pieces of art/photos that I found that are going to be my inspiration for each of these categories.  Here they are.

Other Regular Art Junk

Nature

Disney Fandom (bonus points this is also Star Wars!!!)

Anime/Manga

Dragon/other Fiction

So that's the categories.  Make your decision what you want me to do.  By the way, I might just have to do one of these these anyway...must do artwork...must.....

Geography Lessons!

Ok,
You remember those maps I mentioned a while back?  I got one finished up and here it is.  This one isn't for sale (it's for my family and isn't mounted) but this is what it looks like!  These only run for 10$ for a custom made map.  Your colors, your state/country, your map!  Check it out!

My Recent Art

Hola.
Before I start, just wanted to mention that the auction mentioned in the last post is totally off.  I sold the page for an English pound, then tape the pound into a "Random object" page.  My bad.

Ok, so my art lately has mostly been from art class, because I've been realllllllly busy keeping up with a killer school curriculum and all my CRAZY electives, some of which I just can't blow off (like Sod Squad - I'm president.  Can't miss that.) and spending time with friends and also working on my crafts and books and blogs and I'm just a little on the stressed side.  I juggle stuff better than a five-star circus clown.

Right!  Where we?  Oh yeah...art.  Anyway, so my mom made these cool shelves specifically for my art work.  FROM SCRATCH!!!  I could never do that kind of thing.  I'm not that kind of crafty crazy.
The selves with all my art work on it.  My favorites are below.

This I did at an event, but I made some changes and took some creative liberties with it.  You like?

Another art class piece.  We were studying the realistic eye and the color wheel, and then we put them together and it was awesome.  And I know that tears come out of the tear duct - I took creative liberty with it.

Top Left - optical illusion I did, Top Right - a cardinal painting from art class, and Bottom - a metal sculpture.

Tell me which one is your favorite in the comments (below)!  Noelle is gone.

The Strangest Item Ever! (Auction)

So I got a new journal!
Some of you have probably heard of it, it's an art journal call "Wreck this Journal" by Keri Smith.  It has all kinds of stuff that you would never suspect an art journal to have, among them, a page that quite literally says..."Sell This Page".  Those are the only instructions for that page.  Well...challenge accepted!!!
Sorry, that's a little hard to read, but it says "Starting at 50 cents!"
So how can you claim this strange piece of art work as your own?  Well, this is an opportunity for our Texas friends also!  I will be visiting Texas in a few months, so this and all other piece of art/crafts can for a short period of time be reserved by Texans (and possibly Florida, but that is unsure)

Anyway, this particular piece is, as you might guess, starts at fifty cents...that's right, this is an auction!  From now (April 4th) through April 30th, all bids in this post's comments will be accepted.  Starting at fifty cents, but just like in all auctions, it will be sold to the highest bidder.

By the way, this artwork has already been mounted, though not framed, so you can put it up as soon as you want.  Bid below!

State/Country Graph Maps Information

Ok,
I have something new for you to look at!  Have you ever wanted a bright accent piece for your house?  Or a personalized map hand-made just for you?  Then you have come to the right place!  The pastel-and-watercolor maps are already mounted and are, as mentioned, hand made.  I'll post photos soon.

I'm working on the states, starting with New York, Florida, Texas, California, and Virginia.  However, I will do any state you ask for - no added price!

How much are these beauties?  Only a cheap $10!  You can order them today here.  Have a great day and I will be posting soon with photos of these amazing maps.

Caps for a Cause - all about

Ok, so...
It's been a while since I posted, and even longer since I talked about Caps for a Cause.  If you'll think back a couple of posts...I make small plastic pins!  Those pins are actually made from recycled bottle caps.

Why so expensive?  Well, Caps for a Cause donates to a program here on base called TNR (Trap Neuter Release) that captures the stray, feral cats around here.  It's great.  Anyway, for every cap sold, a dollar is donated to Caps for a Cause.

Until later!

Not Exactly for Sale...

I do this cute little art...
Called "Essence Creatures".  Anyway, the only reason I'm bringing this up is I do requests.  If you're not sure exactly what I mean, click on the link below.

What is for sale?

Right now, I've just opened up shop, but Lemon Zinger Crafts already has opened up!!!  Here is the stuff currently for sale.  If you want to reserve something, just comment below.  Also, about the pins.  Why so expensive?

Those pins are part of my other small business, C4C, aka Caps for a Cause.  For every pin bought, a dollar is donated to an animal shelter!  Please consider buying one.

Ok, the actually products.  Right.  Heehee.  ;-)

Mystery Map

So you’ll never guess
My most recent art project.  Actually, you never will guess, because I just got an idea, no internet, nothing.  Ok, never mind there was a little Pinterest involved in this, but ANYWAY let me actually get to the point.

I’m making a Hobbit Map!!!  *non-exsistant web-audience goes wild*

Its a 100% authentic, hobbit-rune, hobbit-style map.  This isn’t the completed map, but it’s getting there.  I finished all the drawing of it last night, writing the authentic hobbit runes (SQUEE!!!) for all the labels and the border, and finished making those cute little drawings of trees that all cool, old-style maps have.  Here’s a photo so you can see what the heck I’m talking about.
Hobbit Map!  :-)

So yes, that is my AWESOME Hobbit-y map…it’s scrumptious, juicy, AND crunchy!  I’m a huge Hobbit fan.  Who liked the new movie?  And who’s planning on getting it on disk the instant it comes out?  Actually, don’t do that, from all the rumors flying around its going to be super expensive so I would wait.

Getting back on subject, once I’m done it will be caligraphy-style inked, authentically tea-stained and weathered map.  I can’t wait to show you guys!

Inklings?

Ok, so...
Today in history class I learned about how C.S. Lewis (author of the Chronicles of Narnia) and J.R.R. Tolkien (author of the Hobbit <3) had a writing club (yes, those two authors were friends!) at Oxford where authors could talk about their unfinished work and swap tips.  It was called the Inklings.  I was wondering if anyone would like to do something like that?

Not a huge deal, just you could post your stories/beginnings of a book/tips/writing stuff on International Bff's (for those of you who don't know what that is, I'll talk about it in a minute) and the rest of us (the Inklings 2) would comment.  If you wanted me to, I could proof-read and edit it, then re-post it.

This would be for everyone!  However, you obviously need to be a member of International Bff's to use it.  So what is International Bffs?  It's my second blog, which I share with anyone who wants to join.  Everybody is supposed to post about weekly making a constant feed of interesting blogposts for readers to enjoy.  However, no one has actually really joined.  I have four writers?  I think?  Maybe?  Anyway, if you want to join (no pressure...haha joking PLEASE JOIN) email me at skoshimom@gmail.com with your request.  You should get an email back soon after that from Blogger.com.  You MUST accept this invite to become an author.  After that, it's all yours!

Ok, peeps, I'm out of here.  Bye!

Riddle Quest Millions

Riddles Galore!
I’m going to post the next riddle for riddle quest, but first let me go over the rules first.  The idea of riddle quest is to solve all the riddles I post until I call it off (ignore anything before 2014, I’ve tried this before but they aren’t part of the current contest).  When I do call it off, you have a week to email me (skoshimom@gmail.com) your answers in order.  The person who gets the most correct (or close to correct) gets the SUPERsecret prize pack that of course I’ve actually made by now!!!  I wouldn’t have forgotten about that right!!!  Anyway, you MUST have all the answers, even if they are not correct, to even qualify.  You may work together.  Spamming me with multiple answer-emails will disqualify you.

Ok, here’s the next riddle you’ve all been waiting for.

Life as me currently crazy

So here's a post:
So I know I haven’t been great about this recently.  I actually haven’t been doing well with my daily routines at all lately…my life has been one big insane whirlpool.
What do I mean?  Well, I have two best friends who move this Wednesday, last week I got a five days of school done in three to have a sleepover with them - so doubling up on THEOLOGY!!! and taking an Algebra and Physical Sciences test - module tests.  Plus, I had to finish their Christmas presents and their going-away present, not to mention

Riddle Quest OMG

HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT THIS!?!!?!?!?
I am SOOOO sorry, but I totally forgot about Riddle Quest, so here's the next riddle, forget all the fancy talk.

I'm iron and leather and ivory,
My maw licks fire for food.
My sails sail of lands where you'll never land,
I am yesterday, today, but when?
What am I?

If you have problems with this one, write out the characteristics and then look at that to figure out the answer.  This one's hard, but if you want the prize...self explanatory.

Going...going...

So I'm leaving Granbury
Tomorrow.  I know I never mentioned it, but I was visiting my dear family down in Texas, as well as Mia my best friend from SHAPE Academy.  I'm going down to Austin tomorrow with my grandfather (OGee), then flying with him back to New Jersey, where he will spend Thanksgiving with us.
Oh I will kiss the ground when I have a normal schedule. (not really)
That's all I wanted to say.  Thanks for reading and be sure to read our "How to Subscribe" section at the bottom of the page.  :-)

MarioKart 8 Official Review

I've been using the original Wii Mariokart for about six years now - it's not too glitchy, and surprisingly high tech (taken for granted we got this when I was four).  So it probably wouldn't surprise you that I was interested in Mariokart 8.  Honestly though, I didn't see anything beyond updated race tracks...I was beyond wrong.

Mariokart updated features in Mariokart 8:

  • Ability to do a Prix in multiplayer
  • You can watch the highlight reel on any mode
  • You can re-watch the highlight reel on MKTV
  • You can edit the highlight reel
  • Going upside down during races (duh!)
  • Updated, new awesome battle mode
  • Easy personalized rules for v.s. mode and battle mode
  • New and updated races
  • New characters
  • Vehicle customizations (tires and paragliders, besides updated cars)
  • Easy online play
Besides that, the graphics are incredible, and the driving is very well though through.

Four and a half stars (half a point taken off for slightly annoying music and one glitch, which you can expect in any game)

Chapter 1
The Stranger in the Kitchen

Cassandra Deanna Dorian had always been a nice, normal kid.  She was what she called hazelnut brown-haired (though many called it “a frizzy mass of mouse brown stuff”) and had extraordinarily blue eyes.  She was short for her age, skinny, and quiet.  Her favorite aspect of her appearance was her strange, but interesting, overly pointed ears which caused her mother called Cassandra ‘faery ears’.  She was 12, and in 6th grade.  She went to school in a big, red brick building called Watson City North School.  Watson City had three schools, the North School, the East School and the South School.  The South school taught Pre-K through 5th.  The North School taught 6th through 8th.  The East . . . 9th through however many grades there are.  Cassie didn’t know.
She did know that she was practically invisible to anyone.  A qhost in a hoodie and jeggings that was always trying to be noticed with no effect.  Cassie, as she prefered to be called, had no friends and

Room Tour

Ok,
Almost done dumping.  Only one post left, and then BOOM, no more dumping (for now...*evil grin*).  Anyway, I FINALLY cleaned my room (Mom almost fainted) and I decided to give you guys a tour, since you haven't seen my room since like the beginning of time...or since TX.  So here it is.
