Friends

One of the best Arranged Outfits
Was arranged recently.  A friend of mine, Mia, and I were opposites.  I was a sophisticated and dull-y colored person.  She was more or less 70's she was so bright.  Just wait till you see!

[This is going to be a long caption]  I blurred out her face for internet safety and such, which is a shame because she had such a nice smile in this photo.  I'm wearing my mom's boots (yay!  We have finally come to the point where we can wear each-other's shoes)  and scarf (you can't tell, but it's kinda shiny), a white tank I love, my darkest jeans, and a black long sleeved shrug.  Notice that our scarves are the same position, we're both wearing shrugs, etc.
The end.

SOS 2

As you know,
I still am obsessed over Sea of Shoes.  It is the best blog ever, you should read it, and I know I've given this link to you a million times but here it is again: click here!  Anyway, I've been playing ketchup (although mustard is more fun, haha) and it has taken a long time because she has been posting for practically forever, and here are some of the photos I found.  This girl is just gorgeous and has such a good fashion sense, not to mention the money and closet space to fuel it (unlike me).
True to it's name, Sea of Shoes exhibits tons of shoes of practically every shape, form, and color.
She looks gorgeous here!  The skirt is so iridescent.  I love that purse too.

Look at her scarf!  I'm a big scarf person, I have one for all my favorite outfits, except for that one with a coral shirt and brown boots - I need to post that!

I like the necklace, shawl, background, bracelet, her hair....

Hey!  She's drawing something!  That sweater is so sensational!

She apparently found this beautiful golden chair and just dragged it out to the middle of nowhere to take photos of her outfit.  No offense to her, (that IS a spectacular background and outfit also) but that's a waste of time.

She always somehow looks so HAPPY!  How does she do that?  And speaking of how does she do that, how does she wear that headband (they drive me crazy [short drive])

Pretty picture.  :-\

Waiting

The world goes on in a half-
Sped up version of time as I wait.  I am always waiting, always preparing myself.  The future lies ahead, unpaved, unread.  What may happen tomorrow, the day after next?  Maybe anything maybe nothing.  Words choke in my throat, or maybe it's pills.  The world goes on.

Waiting for nothing.

Thank you!

I'm proud to say that
I now have a 20 post streak!  That means I have been posting for 20 days with no gaps!  Cool, huh?

I want to thank all my readers that have stuck with me all this time and also the ones that have poked their heads in and gotten addicted to my pure awesomeness.  :-)  And it's not over!  I have another 609 (give or take a week) until it's doomed.  I will then have to have a serious brainstorming session.  I'll think...and think...and think!  About what?  Well I'll have to change my name of course.  I know I'm so silly.  I'll be here all day people.

Thanks again!

Writing...

I have been really into my
Writing journal and a book called "Rip the Page" recently.  So, although I have already shared some of it with you, I will share more (this isn't the end).  Enjoy!

Searching for YOU

I looked for u behind the bench,
But she was nowhere to be found.
I looked for o down a vase,
But he didn't want to be seen.
I looked for y with my where she likes to nap,
But she was as gone as gone can be.
Then I bumped into someone
And it turned out,
I'd found them all:
It was you.

Tree
I can never keep my leaves!
They always with up and die,
And then pine laughs at me!

Pine
I'm too sticky!
Insects always get stuck on me.
They hate the sticky pine tree.

Bug
I'm to small to be of use!
All I can do is buzzz around
And sometimes humans step on me.

Human
I can't stay out very long!
But let me tell you this:
You may wither or be sticky or small
But inside you're pretty enough to kiss!

Rainy Day

I wanted to share to short
Stories with you from my personal writing journal.  They're both about rain!  Hope you like it!

Rainy Day Cupcake

On a quiet rainy day, I'm looking out the window.  It's pouring and the smog is everywhere, even inside.  The site makes me sad.  Mom's in the kitchen, and Daddy's at work already.  School's not for another half an hour.
So I take a swirl of happy, a cup and a half of smiles, and a full quart of excitement.  I mix it in with a dash of shooting stars and a pint of sunshine.  I wash out the rain and grey and bake my creation with a summer day.  Then I add some rainbows for icing and flowers for sprinkles and wrap my creation in a sunny day's clouds for paper.  Then I eat my rainy day cupcake to cheer me up.

The Rain Coat

My bright blue rain coat is sitting on my dresser.  It's always been there for me, on all those rainy days.  It's always protected me from the snow, sleet, and rain.  It made sure that the soaking mist never got to me.  It was loyal to me, but it has a big gaping tear now.  Mom is telling me to throw it out.  I look at her, and then I look at the rain coat.

I keep my bright blue raincoat.

Help Part II

Time to finish
What I started.  Fashion Fab crash course is about it end.  Please look at all subtitles.

Remember the power of the simple essentials!  These colors (silver, black, white, and grey) are a
fashionista's best friends.  You make think them bland, but they actually add a pop to the colors
you do use, like the fuzzy coat here.
It's a good idea to make a couple of coordinating colors that you have lots of paired or clumped together in your closet (a color wheel hanging on the inside of your closet does is also handy).  Remember to avoid holiday matches like lots of emerald green (ST. Patrick's day) green and red (christmas) red and pink (valentine's day and a big no-no anyway).
Pay attention to style  Look at the form (does it cling? or poof?), shape (does it have ruffles? or key holes?), hemline (where does it end?), and how closely it fits against your body (does it cling? does is gape?).  A simple change in any of these can make or break an outfit.
Don't forget accessories!  Headbands, shoes, earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces, anklets, and more!  Use them to class up or tone down an outfit.  You hair counts - try new hair cuts, styles, and pull them into braids, pig tails, and pony tails.
Patterns can totally change an outfit.  Don't try to match every color in your pattern with something else in that outfit, but look for something that a) matches your eye color b) matches your hair color c) matches the occasion (pine trees for christmas...)

Here are some great examples of shape, form,  and hemline.  Notice different colors, accessories, and styles can lead to an entirely different type of outfit.
Remember to keep your own style!  No one style is the same, and no one can match up clothes for you better than...you!  This was just a pointer in the right direction to your own style.  Keep searching!
