SOS!

I decided I love Sea Of Shoes (SOS) so much...
That I'll share some of her fantastic photos from the last year -

The scarf here may be huge (I could never wear it!) but I love the jeans and the stripy shirt!

This is her chiuahua (I have done my best with the spelling), and I'm not a huge fan of such creatures (one tried to bite my nose when I was six) but I know there are people out there who do.

Love the jeans - there is nothing left to say.

Cute poncho, cute boots, cute hat.  Period.

She wore this to a haute couture party and I fell in love with is.  The shirt is just gorgeous!

Sweet shirt!  It matches her beautiful hair.

Spin!  I adore those heels, I'll find another photo with them so you can get a better look.

She looks so pretty in this picture - I MUST HAVE THAT JACKET!!!!

I love her bike photos; she somehow manages to ride with a skirt (I could never do it {not that I tried})

I told you I would find those heels.  She looks so...young in this photo.
Ok, I have to go now, dinner (and my mother calls).

Music

My New Luke Bryan Album
Just ROCKS!  It includes the #1 hit Crash My Party, Ghost Town, Blood Brothers, That's My Kind of Night, Dirt Road Diary, and more!  I got it on Amazon on disk, but downloaded it on my computer in my home-blended "Country" re-mix:

  • Miranda Lambert's Gunpowder and Lead Single
  • Gloriana's (Kissed You) Goodnight Single
  • Two Taylor Swift singles from her album Red
  • The Jake Owen Days of Gold album (which happens to be my favorite)
  • The Dirks Bentley album Home
  • And More!
I've been collecting my favorite songs for ages, but also getting rid of the old ones that I no longer like.  It's quite perfect by now.

Random Question:  has anyone heard the Luke Bryan song Drink a Beer?  It's one of my favorite, but it sometimes makes me cry because it's a very...deep song.

'K,  I have posted.  I feel justified.

Birdie!

Drawing anytime, everyday
Keeps the least of artists in the best of skills.  Even a quick sketch that you hastily have to erase off your math test is enough to keep in touch with your drawing skills.  If a drawing has potential, keep going with it, even if it is for a school assignment or otherwise.
I did this small drawing* while making a timeline card on the shogun system in Japan (the emperor is revered, the shogun rules) and went full out with it.  What do you think?

Bird: yellow and grass green
Flowers: tomato orange, hot pink, baby pink
Branches:  red-brown and tan

The artist has left the building.

Free

Winter Break!
My new school is the bestest, we have all kinds of breaks:  Christmas break, winter break, easter break, spring break....  Anyway, I'm currently on break.

I feel so free, but all this annoying homework is blocking my path to wonders untold.  Math project...science fair...english report...history assignment...music worksheets....  Adults fail to see what the point of break is...to take a break.  It's quite obvious really.  I do four weeks of school, the I get to take a week off...to do more school?  No.  I take a week off to relax, spend time with family, draw, design, post on my blog....  Shouldn't break be a time to let go, rather than get more up tight?

My lunch is ready, have to go.

Wisdom

I stumbled on
This interesting website that I would like to share with my readers.  It is called "The 50 Most Important English Proverbs".  It shares wisdom with it readers.  Want to be one of those wise readers?  Click here.   You really should read it.

My personal mottos (since we're at it):

If you're smart enough to think you're dumb, then you're wrong.
Home is family.
Go slowly, check your work, and measure twice for best results.

Toodly-doo!  (my new farewell)

Poem

A Maid's Song:
In the time of knights and chivalry,
My dress would fit in perfectly.
In the dust and dirt of my gran's attic,
My hat can sit and get many-a tick.
I have no proper clothes to cover me,
I have no proper shoes as you can see,
So take me in,
   And with a grin,
I'll do your dishes,
   And cook your fishes.
