Hello again….

It's been a little bit….
Sorry!  I've been really busy with school work and all…plus, I'm a part time fashion designer (albeit a slightly wonky one)  Btw, if you click on a link and came here, good job!
These two (known as the "Robot skin suit" and the "leaf dress") are some of my favorites!  I so wish I could get these on the market….
The "Tree dress" is a little wacky, with its ring (as the notes say) "general fluff" and the sudden flare at the bottom, but I could SO see this on the red carpet.  But then again, the stuff that makes it to the red carpet these days tend to show a lot more skin….
The dragon dress.  As my critic, J.M. (aka mom) says "Impressive".  I said "Is this a sign I'm going mad?"  (that's not a bad thing btw!)

All of these outfits can be found in my spring 2014 collection "Says who?"©.

I never said I was normal!

For a school project, I have to create a coat of arms.  I actually am going to make a whole crest, including a pair of pronghorns, my own personal trade mark and motto (Lorem ispum et genus {home is family}), a horny toad, Phoenix, and a black swan.  Once I get my grade, I'm going to take it home and hang it up in my room where I can see it every day.  Cool, huh?  It might add to the worldly-ness of my room….

Recently I've been really into designing, listening to New Country music, and surfing the internet, specifically to learn the 2013 fall dress fads for designing.  I actually made two "Fashion Inspire Pages".  You can do it too!  Here's how:

You'll Need:
  • A computer
  • Access to the internet
  • Access to a color printer
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Paper, or the cover of a notebook
  • Pencils (colored and regular)
  • About an hour of time
Here's how to do it:
  1. Surf the internet (Google images is good) for photos of outfits, dresses, hair styles, heels, jewelry, nail designs, or some combo there of.  If you design women's clothing, be VERY careful what you search for.
  2. If you're having trouble coming up with what to search, click here: top ten fashion designers!  Find your designer, and search for his/her designs.  Or you could try Anna Sui, who is my favorite designer.
  3. Still having trouble?  Try searching for drawings, or collections, or if you have a particular style you have trouble drawing, search that.  I seriously suggest you check out "crazy high heels".  You would be surprised what people do to their poor feet (even if it does look great - I really like designing heels that probably give people ankle issues).
  4. Each time you find a photo you really like, save it to your desktop or to a folder.
  5. Take all those photos and put them on a document.  Size them the way you want them (your favorites bigger?)
  6. Click the button.  The one labeled "print".
  7. Cut out all those photos - I know it's a pain….
  8. Glue those photos on that piece of paper or notebook cover.  Collage them all crazy - upside down?  One on top of each other?
  9. Pencil little notes all over.  (ex. "I <3 this!"  "Crocodile skin rocks"  "Goldfish?  Seriously?")
  10. If it's a notebook cover, be sure to put your name on it!  If it's just a piece of paper, staple it into your fashion notebook, give it to me, or put it up on your already sagging pin board.
Here's what it looks like when your done:
This is on the cover of my notebook.  This is the first time I had done something like this,
so this is actually pretty good.  Notice the variety of styles, colors, and sizes of photos.

This is my second Fashion Inspire Page (maybe we should just call it "FIP") and I stapled it
into my notebook.  My favorite photos are at the edges or in the middle, and are usually bigger.

I'm done now.

RiddleQuest

Ahoy!  You are back my ally!  The riddles will not go away - you must save us!  Remember, these riddles could be upon us at anytime - be on your alert for they could come when you expect them the least.  I see one coming!  Prepare yourself!

As time goes past,
I make a sound.
You look at me,
I tell you when the world goes 'round.
What am I?

Record your answer to show the sage!
Now, onward and beyond!

RiddleQuest-the first of many.

Onward!  Alas, a plague of riddles is upon us!  I am Sir Saladin, the only knight in the kingdom who has not quested to vanquish this plague.  Maybe, with the help of you, we can conquer it and free the trapped knights!  There will be a rich prize for the one who completes all the riddles!  If you do not want to go along on this perilous journey, then turn back!  If not, onward!

Here comes the first riddle!  Quick, get out your thinking cap!

A window to nothing,
A door to emptiness,
A person not really there -
But I'm round and square.
What am I?

I think we are safe for now…whew!  I know an sage who lives just yonder.  She will know the answer to all the riddles.  We should check with her, so we are sure that that beast won't come back.

The Riddle Quest

I have concocted an ingenious plan!!!
A riddle contest…on here!  As you can see on my title, it will be known as "RiddleQuest".

If you are a riddle lover, or want to win treasure (I just said the magic word), you have to solve all the riddles I post until I officially declare the RiddleQuest over.  At the end of the contest, there will be one SUPERhard riddle that will be the key to winning the contest.  Here is what you have to do to participate:

  1. Solve each riddle as I post it.
  2. Write the all answers neatly and clearly on a piece of paper (keep it secret and safe so no one can steal your anwers)
  3. When the quest is over, put your answer sheet into an envelope.  Label it "RiddleQuest" and put you name on it.
  4. You have a three day window to give the RiddleQuest envelope with your name on it to me.
  5. After the three day window is over, the winners will be announced.
There will be rules to the RiddleQuest, and if you break them you will be disqualified.
  1. You must get 80% of the riddles right to win.
  2. Be sure to turn in* you RiddleQuest envelope (with your name on it - you can't win anonymously) within the three day time window.
  3. Do NOT share your answers with ANYONE until the quest is over.  I trust you not to!
  4. You may not work together with ANYONE (a repeat of #3)
Good luck on you quest…it starts NOW!!!

*If you live outside Granbury, it must be postmarked to me within the three day window.

Musings

After Spending the Night at MawMaw's...
I have increased my scientific knowledge.  You see, there's no point in watching Nick@Nite, because that's when all the reality shows are on.  However, the History, Science, and Discovery channel have all kinds of interesting things on after nine.  What kind of things?  Let me name a few:
  • Myth busters (including a Halloween special on the undead)
  • Big Dangerous Rockets (Top 20 {includes flying pigs, a steam powered jetpack, and an air borne portapottie})
  • A preview for a new series coming out called Futurescape (premiers Tuesday, November 19) which is SO going to be recorded by me.
  • Mermaids Uncovered (a extremely unrealistic hour long special - an hour I will unfortunately never get back of my life)
  • Uncovering Ancient Secrets (includes the possible evidence that King Tut was murdered, how to figure out if a skeleton is male or female, and retired FBI agents)
Naturally, I watched the Science channel - why not?

Any who, I have been making my point with attempting to post on a regular basis.  I wonder how long it will last?

BIG NEWS in my world (see the all caps for "big news"?  That means BIG news).  I'm NOT going to public school anymore.  Period.  And the crickets chirp.   What the school knows:  my parents randomly pulled me out of school after a two day sick leave.  Fortunately for you, I know a wittle bit more than the school.  What really happened:  my parents saved me from going on an already delayed fieldtrip to let me try out what is called a homeschool co-op.  It is like a part time school (on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) with customized schooling and it's really small.  I felt...welcome.  I've only been there twice and I've already made at least three friends.  It was the happiest I've felt for a long time.

Not that it really matters at this point, but my second report card came in from AMS.  I got all above 95% in all eight classes.  My parents pay me $5 for every above 95%.  It doesn't sound like a lot at first, but that's forty dollars going right to my WiiU fund.  Which is what I am saving up for right now.

Have you ever heard the saying "talking just to hear yourself talk"?  Well  I'm allowed to do it on here, right?  Kinda?

I've writing three books right now.  One is a magic book (fiction) one is a school story (fiction) and one is a diary book (fiction, but based off MEEEEEEE!!!)

Ok, I am done now.  You can stop listening reading now.

Musings

I had a Interesting Morning...
I wake up, get dressed, go back to bed, get up, put in my contacts, and walk out...only to see that there are COWS in my BACKYARD!!!  There were two, probably escaped from a neighboring house.

I got a really cool gift for my birthday: a tree house equipped with a real live zip line!  It's really funny and cool.

So alas the question:  is it safe to zip line with a cow in the vicinity?

I have to go now,
Bye.

P.S.
Comment what you think: to zip line or not to zip line.
