So I realized
(I've been having a lot of realizations recently) that I haven't really updated my blog about my life recently. So I'm going to do a word-post (v.s. a photo post, which is what I've mainly been doing recently, as my non-existent consistent readers would know). Anyway, let's get down to business...shall we?
Ok, so I'll start with school, because that has been a HUGE factor in my life recently. I'm taking Algebra, which is probably my worst subject this year - I'm getting all 85%-90%...a terrifying experience - and at first I was getting better grades and it wasn't really challenging me but in the past week and a half, Algebra has started taking a solid hour and a half to over two hours. This is sorta because I skipped pre-Algebra. I'm not bragging, but Mom said I'm 'advanced' so I'm doing Algebra and physical sciences earlier than most people would.
We still haven't figured out what grade I'm in (not that it really matters when you're homeschooled) but I'm just going to assume I'm in 7th because I'm not in confirmation class.
Anyway, I'm also taking Physical Sciences (also a terrifying experience by the way...those positively charged ions are a killer), Cover Story (a really fun english program I would suggest it to anyone who likes to stretch out of their creative shell),
Current Events (we watch CNN Student News every morning and I have to do a current events report every week based off an article from Economist or National Geographic...I've done 'Rethinking Nero' and 'Ebola Alarmists' and a ton of other ones that I'm not going to list), Religion, a mixed history program made from a read-aloud book, a read-by-yourself-book, Story of the World textbook, Kingfisher History Encyclopedia, and a creative history response. Um...did I miss something? I feel like I did.
So, besides that, I also have informal logic classes on Mondays, Piano and choir practice on Tuesdays, 4-H meetings on Wednesdays (I don't think that will be happening for that much longer...it's getting way past the growing season), Art classes on Thursdays, Physical Ed every Friday, and Homeschool Coop (Music, Cake-decorating, and Horrible Histories) every other Friday.
So that's just school...!!!
I have a pair of best friends that will soon be moving, but let's just say, I know them as if I was their sister, and I've known them for about three years now, so I'm really going to miss them. Their dad is getting kicked out of the military because of back problems, and they're moving to Florida, where there is no chance that we will be moving any time soon. :'-( So I've been trying to spend a lot of time with them.
I'm also making a real movie with some of my other friends...called "The Moosey". A lot of people (mainly my friends various brothers) think that we're all insane, but filming has been really fun.
On top of all that, I've been trying to get my friends to join a forum/blog that I put together, called International BFF's. It's really for any one who has an email...especially good for people who are military, homeschooled, or otherwise 'different' from the rest of society. Also, if you're new to blogging and want to try it out with out having the whole responsibility of a blog all to yourself, this is perfect for you! Please, email skoshimom@gmail.com (my email by the way) to join! Even if you're not sure, just give it a try (if you don't like blogging we can remove you from the roster). When you email me, be sure to mention your name and that you want to join International BFF's. I'll add you to the roster as an author (you don't get moved to administrator for a while) Then, you will get an invite back from Blogger, saying that you have been invited to join International BFF's. You need to accept the invite ASAP before it times out! I will be posting soon with instructions on how to sign in and post as an author.
I'm also attempting to organize an art club, though that isn't going well (besides me there are two members, I really need to work with that). More about that at a different time.
Ok, my hand is seriously starting to hurt, so see ya, nice talking, gotta run, toodles, etc. :-)
