Third Time's a Charm...
And today was my third day of school!  For those of you who don't have to write the date on every paper they touch, today is August 28.  So.  About school.

Ok, I have eight classes (and eight teachers) three before lunch and five after.  So here they are.

  1. ELA (english), taught by Ms. Williams.  Although there's nothing to love about it, it is a good way to start my day.  Ms. W has a slightly high pitched voice though.
  2. S.S. (social studies or history), taught by Coach Hopkins.  Fun and engaging, but my partner is a ding-a-ling.  As Mr. Hopkins says: "You give me a head ache now and I beat you up in 8th grade athletics!"  (He's pretty fun though)
  3. Math (no way to abbreviate) taught be Ms. Sherril.  She's really nice and I like her a lot, which is good because I don't like math.  However, I have been finding myself looking forward to third period - notice the numbers - because the stuff we are doing is EASY.  Heck, we're learning about factors.  Yes, factors.  I learned about that in third grade.  Pick it up people (as in the kid named Scottt {extra T is intentional} who thinks I'm a math whiz, which is a story I will tell you about later).  Byt, the next thing is lunch, but since its...lunch and it's not a period I'll skip it.
  4. Band (again, no abbreviation) taught by Mr. Morgan and Ms. Bosh.  Slow, but interesting.  For those of you who don't know, I'll be playing bassoon.  Yes, I switched to baboon bassoon yesterday.  :-)  While I'm on the subject, Mr. Morgan is scary and Ms. Boch (I nearly wrote Spock) looks like Aunt...Cousin...Second Cousin (???) Ali and I adore her (both of them).
  5. P.E. (physical training and wellness, also know as smelly sock class and gym) taught by Coach Gattis.  Luckily, the boys and the girls split up (>sigh<) and go to separate gyms.  However I'm a little worried, because every Monday we run a MILE.  You military folk (you know who you are <3) should be able to do that easy peasy but 11 and 12 year old girls....  It should be more like easy pukey!  Coach Gattis needs to work on her sharp tongue.
  6. Science. Taught by Coach Carter, who treats us like 3d graders and lectures our buts off.  :(  I really would like to enjoy science, but I can't help but feel gloomy after gym.
  7. Advisory, which for now is by Mr. Carpenter.  It's like homeroom.
  8. Ms. Sparks.  Tech Ap.  I really do NOT like it.  We spent the last two days looking at a boring slide show on rules, she's really strict and makes you feel guilty (even when you haven't done anything wrong {yet}).  Not a great way to end the day.
My classes.  Ok.  Let me tell you real quick about Scottt and his friend Jayden.  :-)  They are in my math class, and "Scottt" is in my Tech.  The first day of school I scared the heck out of Jaydon, so I was "scary", and Jaydon pointed out his name was spelled with an O.  The next day I whipped through the factors (!) and so I was the "math whiz".  I also pointed out that Scott has spelled his name with three T's (ha!)  He said after class that I was his math tutor.  And today, I met him twice.   I was given permanent seating away from those two @#$%*! and so I tapped him on the shoulder today and said Now I can't be your math tutor.  He frowned, but before he could answer my possible friend Evelyn said " can I call you Freckles?"  "No!"  "Shorty?"  "No." "Bob?" "N-" "Yes I'll call you Bob.  Hi Bob!"  So when he came up to the top row to turn in some papers, I said, "hi Bob."  and he said "hi math tutor.

Ok, I really have to go :-(.  Later Gator.
