Many people say to me when I mention being military, "Oh, you must go so many places." This may be true for people who stay in one place all their life, but moving is part of my life and I don't like it one bit. Imagine leaving everything behind you. That's what moving is like. And trust me: visiting a little French village does NOT make up for leaving your BFFs behind.

I know! Ask your mom - I lived in 22 different homes and went to 18 different schools before I left home myself... But, I did learn a lot and met some really interesting people...

Jen, like most things in life, being a brat is both blessing and curse. You meet more people, make more friends, and say more goodbyes. But you never know when you might meet again! I have seen old friends again after 40 years. Some of them you'll remember that long (hard to know which ones when you look ahead but you may have an idea who you'd want to see again). I loved seeing so many different and beautiful places. I started keeping journals when I was your age and a journal was my constant friend. It helps to write, and read! What books are you reading and what do you like to read most?

Noelle,
My apologies again for writing "Jen" instead of NOELLE! Boy, do I need a cuppa coffee. This is when being "Anonymous"looks like a very good idea.
I think I'm going to really get it from OG, don't you?
